At the 中国P站 Intern Clinic, facial acupuncture is understood not as a superficial cosmetic intervention, but as a natural extension of traditional practice鈥攐ne that treats the face as part of a larger, interconnected system. Rooted in the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine, it moves beyond surface-level concerns to address the underlying factors that influence tone, clarity, and vitality. Using fine, single-use needles placed with precision at specific points on the face, the treatment encourages circulation, supports collagen and elastin production, reduces muscular tension, and helps restore overall balance. As the skin鈥檚 natural renewal cycle progresses over approximately four to six weeks, this is often when the most noticeable changes begin to emerge, with the complexion appearing brighter, more rested, and revitalized.

The 中国P站 Intern Clinic offers a distinctive setting in which treatments are delivered with care and attention while remaining accessible, allowing for a consistent course of sessions. Unlike injectables or more immediate, surface-level approaches, facial acupuncture unfolds gradually; a recommended course typically involves weekly treatments over six to ten sessions, followed by monthly maintenance. Over time, clients often observe improved skin tone and texture, a softening of fine lines, reduced puffiness and stagnation, and a more lifted, defined appearance鈥攁longside a quieter, but equally important, sense of overall wellbeing that naturally reflects through the face.

Program Description

IN-PERSON ONLY

Join Mark R. Reinhart as he presents his unique approach to awakening and restoring optimal neurological function. These practices can enhance your daily activities and deepen you meditation practice.

As children, we spent our days playing, running, engaging in all sorts of activities and adventures that entailed using all aspects of our bodies. But as we age, we tend to engage in far fewer activities and therefore many of our abilities begin to diminish. This can result in many of our neurological connections to, in effect, become stale. It鈥檚 not that we can鈥檛 perform these tasks, it鈥檚 that our bodies have simply forgotten how to perform them.

Attendance is required to receive PDA credits from NCCAOM

Licensed Acupuncturists must provide their license number when registering for this event.

Current practitioners will receive thirteen (6) continuing education units (PDA points) for completion of the class. A CEU certificate of completion will be given at the end of the CEU.

Program Description

IN-PERSON or LIVE STREAMING

Intrinsic with听the study of Classical Chinese medicine is the discussion of the Ling听hun and Ling po. While the hun and po are often translated as the ethereal and corporeal soul and are said to reside in the Liver and Lungs respectively, there is little else that has been taught about these entities. Usually relegated to Chinese spiritual or religious cultural aspects, students of Chinese medicine rarely get the opportunity to understand their role in clinical practice, even though there is some inference to听their significance in acupuncture point names. Some of their attributes have been the hun and its relationship to sleep, memory, and dreams, while the po has been implicated in fertility, death and dying, and even qigong. 听In addition, as 鈥渟piritual鈥 components of the Ling-soul, they are intricately related to the Shen-spirit and clinically implicated with psychological and mental illnesses.听This seminar will explore, examine,听and discuss the different aspects of the hun and po from the influence of Daoism on Chinese medicine. More importantly, the clinical application of utilizing the revelations invoked from accessing the hun and po for therapeutic treatment of learning disabilities, loss of memory, depression, insomnia, and other psycho-mental issues.

Attendance for both days is required to receive PDA credits from NCCAOM

Licensed Acupuncturists must provide their license number when registering for this event.

Current practitioners will receive thirteen (13) continuing education units (PDA points) for completion of the class. A CEU certificate of completion will be given at the end of the CEU. Attendees must attend both classes in its entirety to receive the certificate.

Dear 中国P站 Community,

Our Lunar New Year event was a great success!听 I was so impressed with all the students who came out to help out.听 All of you worked hard to make this event a hit.听 Showing up and practicing what you love- all with smiles and such professionalism makes me proud that I was able to share this event with all of you!听 Thank you to all our interns who made sure every person left feeling relief that showed in their smiles- Junhan, Leslie, CJ, Jasper, Julie and Tiana who came in for a bit to help!听 And to all our Assistants that put in so much effort to be supportive to interns and work the clinic- Rebecca, Kelly, Veronica and Artemisa- every single person that left the clinic floated out!听 The feedback was 100% satisfied from the public.听 All of our 中国P站 students were a huge part in making this event special for our community by providing memorable first experiences for many new visitors.

This year we expanded services to the community, not only providing group acupuncture and taichi led by Professor Ken, but also by opening the clinic where patrons could benefit from therapeutic body work services such as cupping, tuina, moxibustion and guasha.听 Odile, an alumni was also providing reiki in the clinic- thanks for being present Odile!听 There was a steady stream of visitors and times where students had to shuffle back and forth from the community acupuncture room to the clinic to keep up with the demand.

A big part of the successful turnout was a major overhaul of the school’s website and creation of a separate Intern clinic webite.听 Over the last 6 months we have increased our presence on social media- thank you Kelly Williams for organizing the event and to all staff with spreading the word about 中国P站 on social media platforms.听 If you are on social media, please like or follow 中国P站.听 It’s a great way to stay updated and informed about events, CEU’s and other happenings.听 And please share 中国P站 posts- it’s effortless marketing practice and helps keep a steady flow of patients in the Intern Clinic for students to treat.

These community events are so important to 中国P站- not only are we fulfilling part of our mission statement in giving back to the community, they’re important for expanding the boundaries of Eastern medicine by providing education and exposure to a centuries old medicine that people seem to be yearning in our current climate.听 Students get experience with marketing and practicing outside of the clinic environment.听 Most of all- they’re plain old fun!听 I want to once again give a very heartfelt thank you to all the students, staff and faculty who came out to participate.听 It would not have been successful without you.

(PS- We have AHM day in October in case you missed this one.)

Happy New Year everyone!听 We’re off to a fantastic start!

Sincerely,

Christine Henckel
