Auricular acupuncture is聽the stimulation of acupuncture points聽on the external ear surface for the聽diagnosis and treatment of health聽conditions in other areas of the body.聽The ear holds a microsystem of the聽body, consistent with the brain map聽discoveries of Canadian neuroscientist聽Wilder Penfield. Dr. Penfield found聽that maps of the body exist on the聽surface, or sensory cortex, of the brain.聽This same brain map is also projected聽onto different areas of the body,聽鈥渕icrosystems鈥�, and in particular聽precision, onto the ear.

The use of Auricular Medicine to 鈥渋dentify and treat blockages to healing as a new approach to therapy-resistant patients鈥� (as taught in the auricular medicine manual of the same name by Dr. med.
